This month’s show will feature performances by:

 

Magi Calcagne is a comedian and performer based in Los Angeles. They are a part of the fluxus inspired, avant garde clown ensemble, The Nonsemble, which performs a monthly show at The Elysian theater: The Nonsemble Presents: The Month Long Ham Festival. Magi’s solo show, Get In The Box, premiered in October 2022 as part of The Elysian Theater’s emerging artists festival. Magi has performed off Broadway with the bouffon ensemble, Mil Grus, and performed for many years as part of Ember Knight & His Orchestra. In 2018, Magi co-directed, produced, and starred in an unlicensed production of Cats: The Musical alongside Ember Knight. Magi has also authored a book of absurd erotica titled Dry Humped To Death In A 2016 Honda Fit.

 

Theoretical Mass with Matt GaffneyJerry WittAmelia Clover and Ian Carroll

 

Theoretical Mass Improv Troupe brings their experience from The Westside Comedy Theater, Impro Theatre, Second City, and UCB. All cast members have 8 years + of improv training and performance experience. The troupe incorporates scientific themes given by the audience to create a fully improved comedic show.

 

Lydia Jialu Li 黎珈璐 is a theatre creator and film actor. Made in China and exported to the U.S. bicoastally. Lydia have been seen at Double Edge Theatre, REDCAT, LAPP, JACK, Outfest, AAIFF4, MNFF8, SDAFF, Urbanworld Film Festival, Cairo International Film Festival, etc. They hold a MFA in Acting from CalArts, and currently a fellow of A Todo Dar Productions with Virginia Grise and in the Resident Artist Program at Mabou Mines.

 

Andre LeBoulluec and Branden Brown: Worlds Duo

 

The Worlds Duo features Andre on guitar and Branden on saxophone in free improvisation. Through pedals, extended technique, looping, and prepared guitar they create sound worlds ranging from industrial, electronic, film score, and raging free jazz. Can be described as a combination of Ornette Coleman and Hans Zimmer.
