Modern & More is an open level class rooted in modern dance principles as a framework for organizing and expanding movement. Dancers will move through structured progressions to work on technical precision while exploring their artistic point of view. Combining foundational modern ideas with contemporary sensibilities we will deepen curiosity and push athleticism in our practice.

MOVING THROUGH

PERIMENOPAUSE, MENOPAUSE, & BEYOND

A Movement Medicine pop-up designed for the journey of perimenopause, menopause, and beyond. This is a safe and confidential space to land, check in, and express the wisdom of your changing body. Whether you feel a need to release, find grounding, or just feel safe and seen, you are welcome here. We move with what is, together.

BREATHWORK & MANIFESTATION CIRCLE

SATURDAY, MARCH 14

9:30am - 10:30am

A guided practice using the breath to drop into a deep manifestation. Our world needs us to dream new dreams, ideas, & creations. Learn a breath-work practice that can bring you into a deep meditative state and utilize a somatic practice to activate our manifestations, hopes, and dreams. Practice personal, communal, and world-buiding manifestations.

A dance class designed to aid adults with Parkinson's through an innovative blend of movement, music, and storytelling.

DANCE CHURCH

MONDAYS, 6:30pm - 7:45pm

A fun, positive movement and exercise class to improve your mood and boost your heart-rate! Open to anyone and everyone, regardless of skill level.

ELECTRIC IMPROV

MONDAYS, 6:30pm - 8:30pm

A safe space for improvisation, exploration, and self-expression, whether you're an actor or not! Led by actor and improv expert Matt Gaffney.

HEART DANCER MOVEMENT: ROOTED FLOW

MONDAYS, 8:15pm - 9:15pm

A movement experience bridging West African traditional dance foundations, club culture, sensuality, Afro-street dance influences, contemporary and experimental flow.

MOO MOO MUSICA

A children's music and movement class for kids 0-5 years old. Your child can dance, jump, wiggle, sing-along, learn new songs, and make new friends!

RAW ACTING STUDIO

Guy Camilleri’s RAW acting studio is the Westside’s most unique & diverse acting studio---a hub for actors, writers and directors to practice, learn and/or deepen craft. It is also an incubator where artists explore, create, develop and produce projects in a safe, collaborative, andaffordable space.

MOJUBA CAPOEIRA

Capoeira is a an Afro Brazilian Art form that incorporates movement, music and community. The class is open to all levels and is based on the teachings & trainings of world-renowned Mestre Poncianinho from São Paulo Brasil.

THE ACTOR'S PLAYGROUND

On-going Meisner and Chekhov training. Learn the entire curriculum at your pace. Listen and Respond truthfully. Get out of your head and into your body. Taught by Eric Casalini.

SAMBA W/ NICOLEA

If you have ever wanted to learn samba — this is your chance. Led by Samba Queen Nicolea Pettis, this class is perfect for beginners or anyone wanting to refine their samba basics.

Straight Up Abilities provides professional performance art training to students of ALL Abilities. Their dance classes are for everyone and they pride themselves on creating more inclusion in the world.

BODY WEATHER LABORATORY

This course provides a foundational physical training for the performer, with emphasis on physical articulation and individual movement patterns. This training demands a thorough reexamination of the body and movement within different and changing environments.

Explore the Body-Mind-Spirit connection through the Magic of Brazilian Dance. Co-facilitated by Vida Vierra and Dani Lunn.
